İbrahim Kurt, who enjoys an esteemed background in the medical sector was born in Tokat in 1959. He graduated from Istanbul University’s Cerrahpaşa School of Medicine in 1984. He worked as chief-of-staff in various state hospitals between 1984 and 1988.

Dr. Kurt earned his specialty degree with his study on “Biochemistry and Clinical Biochemistry” at Social Security Authority’s Samatya Hospital between 1988 and 2002. He resigned from public service in 2003 and took part in the restructuring works of the “Private Levent Hospital”.

He acted as the founder of an emergency medical assistance system in the private sector that covered c.a. 2 million members, namely Medline Medical Services in 1995. Dr. Kurt accomplished significant organizations and services after the Izmit earthquake in 1998. He contributed extensively to many international meetings such as of NATO and Habitat.

Dr. Kurt initiated and directed the international accreditation works for emergency medical assistance and ambulance services. With the intention of standardizing private ambulance organizations and protecting consumers, he founded the Ambulance Operators Association in 2004. Dr. Kurt is currently the chairman of this association.

Dr. İbrahim Kurt was named the president of ESAS Holding Health Investment Inc. between 2004 – 2005, and participated as founding partner in Tezmed in 2004.

MURAT FIRAT, M.D.

Dr. Murat Fırat, equipped with a specific medical know-how, was born in Rize in 1958. He graduated from Istanbul University’s Cerrahpaşa School of Medicine in 1985. He served his obligatory public health service between 1985 – 1987. He worked as General Administrator of the Chamber of Doctors of Istanbul between 1989 and 1994. From 1994 until 1998 he assumed the coordinatorship position of Fişek Institute, which is a non-governmental organization acting in the field of occupational health and safety on the national level.

Dr. Murat Fırat earned his doctoral degree at the School of Medicine of Marmara University, on Public Health, between the years 1996 and 1998. He set up the Occupational Health and Safety Department of Medline in 1988. He leaded Medline Medical Center between 1999 – 2002 as General Manager.

He was distinguished as being the person to accomplish the first and effectual medical service after the earthquake that rocked Izmit in 1999. Dr. Fırat contributed to hundreds of survivors on the first days that followed the earthquake, by setting up an organization coordinating the tents, hospitals and ambulances in the region. Dr. Fırat acknowledged as a talented person and a valuable educationist (trainer), has various papers printed on occupational health, environmental health, labor laws and regulations, child labor, risk groups in industry, occupational diseases and occupational hygiene.

Since 2002, Dr. Fırat has been working as consultant and workplace physician in an international corporation.
